Insurance Should Be Personal — And So Should Your Agent
Paul Lipps is the founder of PMG Group Insurance, an independent insurance agency serving individuals, families, and business owners across Indiana. He works directly with every client, providing personalized insurance guidance built on clarity, flexibility, and long-term relationships.

That’s why I built this boutique independent agency so I can work directly with every client — personally, thoughtfully, and without the layers of a multi-agent storefront.
After more than 35 years in sales, customer service, and business development, I realized something important about myself: I do my best work when I’m helping people directly. When PMG Group began as a storefront agency in 2015, I led a growing staff and managed daily operations, but the larger the agency became, the further I felt from the part of the job I enjoyed most — working one-on-one with clients.
That’s why I made an intentional shift.
Today, PMG Group Insurance operates as a boutique independent agency with a simple purpose: to give every client a smarter, more flexible insurance strategy built around their real needs.
As an independent advisor with access to more than 20 highly rated carriers, I design customized insurance strategies across personal and commercial coverage. I don’t follow a one-size-fits-all approach or push products — I focus on understanding your full picture, explaining your options clearly, and building coverage that actually fits your life.
While I work independently, I’m supported by a trusted network of professionals in mortgage, retirement planning, real estate, tax, legal, and home services. When a client needs support beyond insurance, I can help connect them with professionals I trust — while remaining your single point of contact for everything insurance-related.
I value long-term relationships, thoughtful planning, and doing business the right way. I’m not trying to build the biggest agency — just the best experience for the people I serve.
If you’re looking for an advisor who takes the time to understand you and puts clarity before complexity, I’d welcome the opportunity to work with you.
In addition to my insurance work, I serve as Executive Director of the Indiana Elvis FANtasy Fest — a long-standing, officially licensed annual event benefiting Special Olympics.

My Journey: From Multi-Agent Storefront to Boutique Independent
I sold my Allstate agency so I could serve people better.
When I first opened my doors, I ran a full retail-style operation with multiple agents and a fast-growing customer base. It was exciting, but it wasn’t truly me.
My passion has always been helping individuals and families understand their insurance, make smart decisions, and feel confident their coverage is built around their lives.
Becoming a boutique agency wasn’t downsizing — it was right-sizing.
The 3 F’s: My Personal Philosophy
Family. Friends. Financial Goals.
These three values anchor my life and my business. They shape how I communicate, how I serve, and the level of care I bring to every client relationship. Insurance isn’t just about policies — it’s about helping people protect what matters most and supporting their goals without adding stress or complexity.

Becoming Independent for Your Benefit
In 2022, I transitioned from a captive model to a fully independent agency — so you have more options, not fewer.
Partnering with Insurance Specialist Network (ISN) allows me to access a wider range of carriers. Every client gets the benefits of big-agency resources combined with the personal service of a small, relationship-driven practice.
My Modern Bundling Philosophy
Insurance Should Be Smarter — And Designed With Flexibility
Today’s market has changed. Carriers price home, auto, and liability differently than they did a decade ago. The old “bundle everything with one company” model doesn’t always make sense anymore.
I build smarter bundles by starting with a flexible stand-alone umbrella, then shopping your home and auto lines independently to create the best combination of coverage, value, and flexibility.
You get the strength of multiple carriers — coordinated into one, organized plan.
What “PMG Group” Means Today
PMG Group isn’t a team of agents — it’s my network of trusted professional partners.
While I operate as a solo insurance advisor, I stay connected to a trusted group of professionals in related fields — mortgage, retirement, home improvement, tax, real estate, legal, and more.
When you need support beyond insurance, I can introduce you to reliable partners who share the same values of integrity, expertise, and genuine service.
PMG Group reflects that ecosystem — not a staff of agents.
What You Can Expect When You Work With Me
One relationship. One home base. One person who knows your full story.
Even if your insurance ends up with different carriers, your experience stays simple.
You contact me — every time.
I handle the shopping, the explanations, the updates, the reviews, and the claims guidance. My goal is to give you the kind of service that big agencies simply can’t replicate.
A Final Personal Note
I’m not trying to build the biggest agency — just the best experience for each person I serve.
Building PMG Group Insurance as a boutique independent practice allows me to do the work I truly enjoy: helping real people protect their lives through smart, flexible, and personalized insurance strategies.
If that’s the kind of relationship you’re looking for, I’d love to connect.
