The Indiana Elvis FANtasy Fest has always been part of my family’s life.
My parents, Kay and Paul Lipps, along with Shirley Lyday, founded the event in 1993 as a way to honor Elvis Presley’s charitable spirit while raising funds for the Porter County Special Olympics. Over the years, it grew into a beloved tradition where fans could come together to celebrate Elvis’ music, legacy, and generosity. Since its inception, the festival has raised more than $500,000 for charitable causes.
In 2014, when my dad and Shirley both passed away, my mom was left carrying the responsibility of continuing the festival. She needed help, and I felt a deep responsibility to step in and help preserve what they had built. At the same time, I was in the early stages of building PMG Group Insurance, and supporting this legacy felt like a natural extension of the values I was building my business around — service, stewardship, and community.
Through PMG Group Inc., I assumed stewardship of the Indiana Elvis FANtasy Fest to ensure the event could continue its mission of blending entertainment with philanthropy. Since my involvement, the festival has contributed more than $150,000 back into the community.
Today, the Indiana Elvis FANtasy Fest remains an annual celebration of Elvis Presley’s legacy and an ongoing fundraiser supporting meaningful local causes. For me, it’s both an honor and a personal responsibility to preserve what my parents and Shirley started — and to continue sharing the joy and generosity this event brings year after year.
